Biography:
After graduation from law school, Melissa Friedman served as a
law clerk for the Honorable Edward H. Johnstone, Judge for the
United States District Court for the Western District of
Kentucky. She also was honored to serve as a law clerk for the
Honorable James C. Turk, Judge for the United States District
Court for the Western District of Virginia.
Melissa
Friedman was chosen to be a member of the Eighth District
Committee of the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board and she
served as chairman in 2005-2006. She also is a barrister of the
Ted Dalton American Inn of Court.
She
concentrates her practice in all areas of criminal defense in
state and federal courts.
She also
handles appeals from trial courts to all state and federal
appellate courts.
